Lucia Maria Minervini’s art comments on identity, migration, psychological perception and how the body occupies physical space. She examines the gaps between reality and perception and the historic juxtapositions of the political and the spiritual in private and public arenas. Besides exhibits in museums, galleries and outdoor public spaces in the United States and Europe, her work is in the collection of the Voelker-Orth Museum in Queens, NY, Kentler International Drawing Center, Brooklyn NY, the Museum of Modern Art in New Delhi, India, the Novosibirsk State Art Museum in Siberia Russia, il Museo delle Donna in l’Aquila Italy and numerous private collections most notably that of Pavel Zoubok. She is a practicing special needs literacy educator and Board President of Allied Productions, a NYC, artist run, non-profit organization.
